Why Should We Care About Watches?

Let's face it, we don't really need wristwatches. No, we wear watches because we want them, because we like the way they look and how they make us feel.

In a world where everyone has a supercomputer in their pocket and it's an ingrained reflex to pull your phone out of your pocket or purse to check the time, wristwatches are not necessary.

However, the fact of the matter is that when we try to reduce life to what is necessary, it starts to become boring fast. Our little whims, likes and dislikes, the stuff we pay attention to that other people might not--these are things make us unique and form a large part of our personalities.

So for me, the wristwatches we like and wear are a reflection of our personalities. Do you like refined, small, elegant, timeless, and understated designs or does that sound incredibly boring to you? Do you love large, chunky, bold, unapologetic, and colorful designs or do those make you cringe?

The wonderful thing about aesthetics is that there are no right or wrong answers, only individual preferences. So wear whatever watch you like! Express your personal style through your wristwatch choices in whichever way makes you smile and feel good about yourself.

Courageously expressing your individuality will always be cooler than blindly following a trend. You do you and leave the haters to deal with their silly little fits of rage.
